Mr. Podany is Chief Commercial Officer of the LPGA and formerly its Chief Marketing Officer. During Jon’s tenure, tournaments have increased from 23 to 35, purses have increased 67%, TV hours have doubled and the LPGA’s fan base is up significantly. He is responsible for the business/commercial side of the LPGA, including sales & marketing, television, digital media, tournaments/title sponsors, branding and creative services, and licensing. He was previously with the PGA Tour for 15 years in multiple roles and its SVP of Business Development upon leaving. Jon was instrumental in securing more than $2 billion in sponsorship revenue and building the PGA Tour brand. Jon’s career began at P&G where he worked on several iconic brands.
